Adopt a Heart – Sponsor a Child

One of the most meaningful ways to help is through ‘Adopting a Heart’ — by sponsoring a child and walking beside them as they grow.

If you feel called to join us in this special form of support, please fill out the application form below. Within a few days, we’ll be in touch to share details about the child’s care and how your sponsorship can begin.

The monthly support amount varies depending on the child’s age, health, and individual needs. We ask for a minimum contribution of xxx $, which, while not covering all expenses, makes a real and lasting difference in a child’s life each month. If you’re able, giving more helps us do even more — from buying a dream teddy bear to providing new clothes or a favourite toy that will fill a child’s heart with joy.

Your kindness doesn’t just help meet needs — it helps create beautiful moments of hope, comfort, and belonging.

How ‘Adopting a Heart’ Works

Once your application is received, we’ll match you with a child whose life you will brighten through your monthly support. Your generosity will provide essentials like food, diapers, clothes, and toys—bringing comfort and joy. You’ll receive a photo and details about your sponsored child, so you can feel truly connected. More than a sponsor, you become a Guardian Angel for one of our children.

Your Sponsorship, Your Choice

There’s no set time — you decide how long to stand beside your sponsored child. If life changes and you need to step away, just let us know. We’ll be grateful for every moment you’ve given, and you’re always welcome to return when you can.

Additional information:

  • Please remember that our goal is to reunite children with their families or find them new ones. Therefore, our foster children may be transferred to a family home or foster home at any time. In such a situation, we will inform you immediately, and you will be able to decide whether you wish to support another child.
  • Children can also be supported by more than one person/family. Every gift matters — and together they create the safety, care, and joy each child deserves.
  • If you’d like, you can send us your photo to be placed on our Guardian Angels board. It’s a beautiful way for the children to see and feel that there are extraordinary people like you, believing in them and helping them build a better life.

At the Agandi Foundation, one of our core missions is to support young mothers in crisis and empower families and communities in Uganda to break the cycle of poverty.
With your help, we can empower young mothers to become caregivers of our children or thriving entrepreneurs—sparking cycles of support and economic growth throughout the community. When we support her, she uplifts others. This is community in action, not just charity.

Help Us Make a Difference—with your help we can do more than we could do alone.

Whether you are seeking volunteer opportunities in Uganda or want to assist from across the world, we need you!

From Uganda

  • Childcare – bathing, diapering, feeding, entertaining, cuddling, comforting the children, helping with schoolwork, resolving "Auntie, he stole my clothes" conflicts, assisting with children’s doctor visits, etc.
  • Cooking – preparing, serving, and cleaning up meals for the children.
  • Cleaning – making beds, doing laundry, sweeping, and other basic household cleaning tasks.
  • Maintenance – repairs, upgrades, furniture building, etc.
  • Farming, gardening and landscaping.
  • Teaching & Education – do you have a special skill that could enrich the children’s lives? Share it with us, and we can create a program for you!
In Uganda, our volunteers become part of our life.
They care for the children, teach, create, and share their talents. Their presence sparks connection, joy, and invaluable support. Many continue to stay involved even after returning home, offering help from afar.
